OBSERVATION OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI DAY

On 6 and 9 August 1945, the United States detonated two atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively. The aerial bombings together killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people, most of whom were civilians, and remain the only use of nuclear weapons in an armed conflict.
As part of NSS Unit Sabarigiri College of Education, today we observed Hiroshima and Nagasakhi day.The programme started with NSS Song and consists of a video presentation, song and  message of the day.
In remembrance of the black days we lighten candles for those who have lost their lives and for those who are suffering still.
