TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST YEAR- WEEK 1

                    TEACHING PRACTICE                     

INTRODUCTION 

Our first phase of teaching practice is at Vivekananda V$ HSS Poredom , Chadayamangalam from 20/09/2023. The Principal of Sabarigiri College of Education, Dr. Meera Raj ma'am alloted six students to Vivekananda V$ HSS Poredom , Chadayamangalam . Anjitha and me from Natural Science Department, Fathima  from Physical Science Department,  Arya and Abin  from English Department,  were the selected teachers. All of our teachers in charges, especially Sreedevi teacher provided us with all necessary instructions, guidance and support for completing our teaching manual, selecting activities for models for teaching and preparing teaching aids for teaching practice.

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 1: " WEDNESDAY FRIDAY " : 20/09/2023 - 23/09/2023.

Reflection on School experience 

We the teacher trainees alloted to Vivekananda V$ HSS Poredom , Chadayamangalam, reached school right at 9.30 am everyday, then signed our register and we stayed in our alloted classroom. They welcomed us very gladly. We collected timetable from Pushpa teacher  the first day itself. 

       During the first three periods I was free and in the 4th period I went to 9B I introduced myself to the students and they also introduced themselves. And we had lunch after that then at 5th period I went to 9 A which was my concerned class which was Malayalam medium. There first of all I went through an introduction and then introduced my lesson Breathing for energy. 6th and 7th period was free for me the bell rang at 3.40 I went to office and signed the register and went off the school.

             In the second day also we all reached at 9.30 PM after signing the register we went to our alloted classroom. Today at first period I had class at 9 A There I taught The different parts of respiratory system.During the 2nd period I had substitution class at 9 B there also I covered the same topic.Third period was free for me and again at 4th period I went to 8 D ,in that class I had given a puzzle for children and they all done it much interestingly.Then we had our lunch and the whole afternoon periods was free for me and at 3.40 we left the school after signing the register.        The third day Friday was public holiday and the 4th day Saturday due to psc examination headmaster said as there was no class's.

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

During the first week the students of class 9 were taught The topic different parts of respiratory system was covered for them by using various aids such as charts and still models.

The reflective journal was also completed this week 

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE 

The students of class  9th standard were given teaching manual orientd activity based classroom experience.One  teaching manual of class 9 were complete effectively.The topic covered in class 9 are Various parts of respiratory system and their function Evaluation was made by asking questions from the topics.Students were given various follow up work like assignments and still model making.
