TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 - WEEK 3
TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE_WEEK : 3
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 02/10/2023 - 06/10/2023.
REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
The first day Monday of this week was holiday because of gandhijayanthi.
On the second day, Tuesday , six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and in the first period I had class 9 A which is my concern class.Today I taught one topic Cellular respiration 2nd phase krebs cycle in that period " and then third period I was free then at 4th period I got a substitution class on class 9 B there I taught one topic "diffusion of oxygen into cells". There were no afternoon classes for me. We returned after signing the register at 3:40 pm.
On the third day we reached the school at 9.30 AM .I had class in the first period in class 9.A ie my concerned class there I took the topic Expulsion of carbon dioxide and the second period was free for me then also at 3rd period I had substitution class at 9.A again and then I took the topic role of respiratory system in maintenance of homeostasis. Fourth period was also free for me after lunch I had class at class 9B where I took the topic Cellular Respiration first phase then the next two periods was free for me and we left the school at 3.40 PM.
On the fourth day Thursday of this week we the teacher trainees reach the school at 9.30 and Today we have school assembly .At the 9.45 itself all students have assembled at the school ground the assembly was conducted by class 8.C .The prizes of subdistrict sports meet was distributed in the Assembly. After that I had substitution class at 8.B and then I was free upto 6th period and at this period I had substitution class at 9.B there I taught the topic cellular respiration second phase Krebs cycle.After that I had no classes and we left the school at 3.40 Pm.
On the fifth day of this week we the 6 teacher trainees reached school at 9.15 A.M. After signing the register we went to our alloted classroom. First period was free for me and in the second period I had class at 9.A there I taught the topic Anaerobic respiration and types of fermentation. There after I had no classes.At 2.00 PM after lunch break there is a quiz competition related to Gandhi Jayanthi.and at the 7th period students cleaned the whole school as dry day.The school bell rang at 4.15 and we left the school after that.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In this week the students 9A class were taught using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1of their biology textbook. The topics are Cellular respiration 2nd phase krebs cycle, Expulsion of carbon dioxide from the cells, Role of respiratory system in maintenance of homeostasis, and Anaerobic respiration- types of fermentation.
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of 9A class were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. Four teaching manual of 9A class were completed effectively. charts, word cards and slides were prepared for 9A class . Students were given followup activities like assignments.
REFLECTION ON EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
On the second day of this week subdistrict sports meet was conducted at Chithara school and our school has won overall third prize in the meet.
On the last day Friday of this week a Gandhian quiz was conducted in the school relating with Gandhi jayandhi.
In the Friday itself a cleaning programme was conducted at school in relation with Gandhi Jayanthi.
