TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE - WEEK 6
TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK : 6
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 13/11/2023 - 17/11/2023.
REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
On the first day, Monday, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and today we had assembly we all the trainees attended the assembly then the first period I had class 9 A which is my concerned class.Today I taught one topic in that period "External structure of kidney andd it's associated parts." from the chapter Excretion to maintain homeostasis and then second period, third and fourth period I was free so I did my works.Then 5th period I got a substitution class at 9 A then I taught the topic 'Internal structure of kidney'.During the 7th period I had substitution class at 9B there I taught the topic ' sweat formation .Then we returned after signing the register at 3:45pm.
On the second day, Tuesday, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and I had substitution class at 9 B and I took the topic ,'External structure of kidney and it's associated parts.Then the second period I got substitution class at 9A where I took whole class remedial teaching on the topic respiratory disorders where most of the students had written wrong answer during diagnostic test.Third period was free for me and I did my works.During the fourth period I got a substitution period in my concerned class 9 A then I took the topic structure of nephron there and during the sixth period again I had substitution class at 9 B and I taught the topic ' Internal structure of kidney ' and during the last period I had period at 9 A where I taught the topic 'urine formation there. And after that the bell was rung and we left the school at 3.46 pm.
On the third day, Wednesday, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and I had class in my concerned class 9th A where I took the topic 'Experiment to detect the presence of urea in urine. Then the second was free for me and I did my works.During the third period I got a substitution period in my concerned class 9 A then I took the topic 'role of kidney in maintenance of homeostasis there and during the fifth period again I had substitution class at 9 B and I taught the topic ' Structure of nephron ' and during the sixth period I had period at 8 A where I have some games for the students and the last period was also free for me And after that the bell was rung and we left the school at 3.46 pm.
On the fourth day, Thursday, six of us teacher training arrived at the school at exactly 9 30 and after that we signed the register and today we had assembly. First period was free for me and during the second period I had class in my concerned class 9th A where I took the topic 'Diseases affecting kidney '. Then the 3rd and 4th period was free for me and I did my works.During the 6th period I got a substitution period in class 9 B then I took the topic 'Process of urine formation there and during the seventh period I got a substitution class at 9 A where I took the group remedial teaching on the topic Role of alveolus in gaseous exchange where a group of students found difficulty in answering the question from this topic. And after that the bell was rung and we left the school at 3.46 pm.
On the fifth day Friday we the 6 techer trainees reached school at 9.15 am after signing up the register we went to our class first period was free for me during the second period I had substitution class at 9 A where I took the topic 'hemodialysis ' third and fourth period was free for me and during the fifth period I had substitution class at 8A then during the sixth period of the day I had substitution class at 9 A where I took the topic 'Kidney transplantation and at the last period I had substitution class at 9 E and we left the school at 4.00pm
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In this week the students 9A class were taught using of teaching manual from their Fifth chapter from part 2 of their biology textbook. The topics are External structure of kidney and it's associated parts, Internal structure of kidney, Structure of nephron, Formation of urine, Experiment to detect the presence of urea in urine, Role of kidney in maintaining homeostasis, kidney diseases, Hemodialysis and Kidney transplantation.
During the first four days of the week subdistrict youth festival was conducted at M.G.H.S.S Chadayamangalamand many of our students had participated in it and won prizes.
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of 9A class were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. 8 teaching manual of 9A class were completed effectively. charts, word cards and slides were prepared for 9A class . Students were given followup activities like assignments.
